The BLB blog is back!! And better than ever.

If you’re new here, welcome! If you are one of our loyal blog readers, we’ve missed you!

My name is Danielle. I am the Media Coordinator at Be Like Brit, also known as “the girl behind the camera who is always in Haiti…” I became a long-term Britsionary in 2017 and my project was doing all of the photography at Brit’s Home for 3 months. Then I started working here full time in September of that year! I now oversee all of our social media platforms, marketing, and assist the team with other major efforts such as our child sponsorship program. It truly is my dream job.

Brit’s Home has become my second home as I spend most of my time in Haiti, helping to tell the BLB story. I would say my favorite part of my job is being able to use my platform to tell stories from Haiti. I love spending time in our community, hearing stories of faith, hope, and love, then sharing them. I could talk for hours about how much I love BLB and Haiti. I also enjoy meeting Britsionarys and hearing about their experiences. I have actually met some of my best friends through BLB and the Britsionary program.

I love covering special days at Brit’s Home, such as the first day of school, birthday celebrations, and Christmas morning, just to name a few. I have many stories I am looking forward to sharing!

Since my last post at the end of 2018, we built the new Britsionary guesthouse named Brit’s House of Love, we have opened a new school for our children named Brit’s Academy, our Britsionarys built our 145th home for our Grand Goâve community, we had 21 runners on Team BLB in the Falmouth Road Race, we welcomed new staff members in Haiti and Worcester, and so much more! I can’t wait to see what this next year will bring.

Our blog will have a new entry every other Sunday. I am so thrilled for what’s to come…especially since January will kick off our 10th anniversary year. We have some awesome guest writers coming up and I will be working on fun interview videos to share with you too. If you haven’t read one of our blog posts before, make sure to check out our past entries on the BLB website.
